    Open the wrought iron gate and wander up the brick path, past the glowing gas light, to the old fashioned covered porch. Our resident labrador retreiver, Mousse au Chocolat, will keep you company as you sit and enjoy an icy drink on warm summer eveings or hot coffee on crisp afternoons. Then, enter the two elegant parlors which are separated by majestic pocket doors, and the spacious dining room where the chandelier, china, crystal and silver recall the previous century, when this house was new. Select your favorite music from our broad collection, and listen in the parlors or on the patio while you unwind with a complimentary drink.

    Also on the first floor is the cheerful Daisy room which has been customized to accommodate the needs of our wheelchair bound guests. This room opens onto a large, brick patio where you can enjoy a table in the shade or a sunny spot to read a book. In the eveing, the patio is always bathed in gaslight or can be further lighted for dining or a spontaneous game of cards. The professional kitchen, where meals are prepared and scheduled cooking classes are held, completes your tour of the first floor.

    Now, climb the spiraling staircases to our additional seven light filled, custom decorated bedrooms, each with a private bath and a queen size or twin beds. Luxury amenities abound..fireplaces, covered decks, whirlpool, steam showers for two.

    Continue to the third floor, where more rooms and an additional deck overlooking the gatehouse weather vane complete your tour. Take the covered stairway down into the garden, sit and listen to the water splashing in the tiny pond, and plan your visit through the many sites of historic Gettysburg.


All overnight guests are treated to a full breakfast. Choose either light-healthy fare or indulge in the special breakfast of the day. Later, munch on inn-baked cookies, brownies or other treats--
if the other guests haven't eaten then first.
Well behaved children over 10 are welcome.
Smoking is permitted outdoors only, with consideration to non-smoking guests.
We regret we cannot accommodate pets (Mousse happily provides surrogate affection).
